Background

WHAT HAS GONE BEFORE:
One year ago in normal space-time, the Universe endured the worst tragedy it ever forgot. in the supernova explosion of Odin's Eye the Doctor died. Upon returning to this Universe, the Doctor has found everything far from how he left it. Worlds are being oppressed and it is all the blame of his people. The so-called Central Authority controls all interstellar and intratemporal traffic.

The Doctor and his companions arrived on 20th Century Earth and met with Doc Savage, his aids, and his cousin Pat, at the Folcroft Sanitarium in upstate New York. Their meeting was interrupted by 3 sinister people who attempted to kidnap one of the sanitarium's patients, one Impiccione Frate. When the attempt failed, the sinister 3 kidnapped Pat and disappeared. Leaving 3 of his aides behind to watch over Impiccione Frate, the focus of the kidnapping, our heroes have gone to the Leader's hyperspace lair to free Pat and confront the villain...

THE CAST: POSSIBLE CHARACTERS

OUR HEROES
The Doctor - [Tuna] - the wandering infamous timelord in his 10th regeneration has returned home to a time of temporal, universal strife.

Irish - [Rob] - he Doctor's feline companion, with green fur, mental powers, a dislike for water and all things that muss his fur.

"Fred" (Eos) - [David] - a member of the race of energy beings known as "The People". After establishing a rapport with Irish, she risked her life to save him and the Doctor. Now in corporeal form, she has taken the human name of Winnifred Stephanie O'Connell ("Fred" for short) for herself. '

ALLIES

Doc Savage - Born Clark Savage, Jr..  He was raised from the cradle by scientists.  He was trained to be at the peak of physical and mental prowess.  He is the smartest man in the world.  He stands over 6 ft tall, with sun bronzed skin and hair ( his haircut is in the form of a skullcap).  He moves gracefully and has the appearance of the prime human specimen.  He and his aides fight crime and right wrongs from his base in the Empire State Building.  Immensly wealthy, he puts his wealth to use in fighting crime and helping the innocent.

"Ham" - Brig. Gen. Theodore Marley Brooks.  Perhaps the finest lawyer to graduate from Harvard, and  certainly the best dressed.  His nickname stems from an incident during WWI, when he was framed for stealing hams.  He and Monk constantly heap verbal abuse on each other.  They are also friends and would die for each other.  Ham wields a sword cane, whose blade is tipped with a sticky paste.  One cut will render most men unconcious for about an hour.

"Monk" - Lt. Col. Andrew Blodgett Mayfair.  One of the world's leading industrial chemists.  His nickname stems from his appearance.  He is of short stature, has arms longer than his legs, is covered with coarse red hair, has a large brow and speaks in a squeaky voice.

"Renny" - Col. John Renwick. One of the world's top engineers, constantly on call around the world to build bridges, dams and such.  He is large and has a deep voice.  The happier he is, the sadder looking he gets.  His most remarkable features are his hands.  They're as big as pails and are capable of punching out door panels with one blow.  His favorite expression is "Holy Cow!"

"Long Tom" - Major Thomas J. Roberts.  The top of his field in electronics.  He is of average height, is very thin but has a wiry musculature.  He can fight like a cornered wildcat.

"Johnny" - William Harper Littlejohn.  One of the world's leading geologists and archaeologists.  He is thin, close to 7 feet tall, with shoulder length black hair.  He can fight well along with the others.  He wears a monocle that serves as a magnifying glass.  (His weak eyesight was fixed by Doc.)  He loves to use long words, preferably none shorter than 4 syllables. His favorite expression is "I'll be superamalgamated!"

Pat Savage - Doc's first cousin.  She is statuesqly beautiful, with the same bronze skin and hair coloring as her cousin.  She loves adventure and comes along on Doc's missions whenever she can, though Doc constantly tries to discourage her.  She runs a high class beauty salon to keep herself from getting bored.

FOES AND OTHERS

Impiccione Frate - an inmate of the Folcraft Sanitarium.  On the surface he seems perfectly sane.  What is his secret?
Agents of the Eye - agents of the (so far unnamed) villain, they wear futuristic clothing and are equipped with futuristic weapons.

BEGINNING

At the Sanitarium (Doc Savage, his Aides, Pat Savage & Mr. Frate)

Doc Savage's aides arrive at the Folcroft Sanitarium in upstate New York.  They are grousing a bit about the long drive and wonder why Doc has summoned them there.  Ham and Monk also complain about Pat foisting herself upon them.  The group is ushered into a library, where Doc and a stranger await them.
Doc introduces them to the stranger, one Impiccione Frate, a resident of the Sanitarium.  His aides note he doesn't seem to be mentally ill.  Doc explains that there have been 3 attempts in the last month to kidnap Mr. Frate from the asylum.  They ask him questions, which he breezes past.  He tells them some acquaintances of his should be arriving shortly, who should have the answers to their questions.

In the TARDIS (the Doctor, Fred & Irish)

The TARDIS approaches Earth.  Fred and Irish want to know who they're going to meet, but the Doctor wants to surprise them.  Suddenly the console begins to beep urgently.  The Doctor determines it is a Time Beacon signal from upstate New York, circa 1940.  It matches that of the one he left with his friend.  The welcome mat is out, so to speak.
Following the signal, the TARDIS lands at the Folcroft Sanitarium, next to a luxurious sedan.  Changing into period clothes, Fred then joins Irish and the Doctor.  They go up to the front entrance and ring the bell.  The Doctor introduces themselves.  The orderly tells them they are expected and lets them inside.

MIDDLE

Reunion (Everyone but the Agents)

The door to the library opens.  In step a portly gentleman, an attractive young woman and a green cat.  Doc stands up and shakes hands with the gentleman as the door to the library closes.  The Doctor introduces himself and his companions.  There are blank looks at first, till Doc reminds his aides of there battle with the Daleks a few years ago, which they won with the timely aid of the Doctor and his companion Jo.  The men are amazed at the Doctor's change in appearance but delighted to see him again.  They begin to fawn over Fred, much to Pat's disgust.  Irish hops up in Pat's lap and begins charming her.
The Doctor makes a quick examination of Frate, who shows no recognition of the Doctor.  He asks Doc how long he has been this way.  Doc says Frate was found this way shortly after the attack by the Daleks.  Doc then asks for everyone to take a seat.  Once all are seated, he begins to speak.

ENDING

Information (everyone but Agents)

Doc tells about the attempts to kidnap Frate.  The Doctor asks how the attacks were stopped.  Doc pulls an object from his pocket and places it on the table.  Frate made it himself, over the course of his stay in the asylum.  The Doctor eagerly asks to see how it works.  Doc flips a switch, activating the device.  He invites the Doctor to come over.

Attack (everyone)

Suddenly, 3 shimmering figures appear in the library.  They are dressed in futuristic clothing and wield futuristic weapons.  Doc cries out, saying these are the would be kidnappers.  Fighting ensues, with an exchange of weapons fire and fisticuffs.  One of the figures attempts to grab Frate.  As he tries to touch him, a shield of blue energy appears.  The figure is thrown across the room, falling unconcious to the floor.  The other figures suddenly grab Pat Savage.  She tries to struggle but is quickly rendered unconcious.  The two figures and Pat shimmer, then disappear.
