Background

WHAT HAS GONE BEFORE:
One year ago in normal space-time, the Universe endured the worst tragedy it ever forgot. in the supernova explosion of Odin's Eye the Doctor died.  Upon returning to this Universe, the Doctor has found everything far from how he left it. Worlds are being oppressed and it is all the blame of his people. The so-called Central Authority controls all interstellar and intratemporal traffic.

The Doctor and his companions arrived on 20th Century Earth to seek the aid of Doc Savage in curing the Timelords rescued from the Flying Monte Carlo.  Before they could garner this aid, they first had to help rescue Doc's cousin, Patricia Savage, from the clutches of Rassilon, who sought the knowledge of Impiccione Frate, aka the Meddling Monk.  With Pat rescued and Rassilon focused on other purposes (since Frate suffers from the same treatment the other Timelords were inflicted with) the Doctor is ready to take Doc Savage to his patients...

OUR HEROES
The Doctor - [Tuna] - the wandering infamous timelord in his 10th regeneration has returned home to a time of temporal, universal strife.

Irish - [Rob] - he Doctor's feline companion, with green fur, mental powers, a dislike for water and all things that muss his fur.

"Fred" (Eos) - [David] - a member of the race of energy beings known as "The People". After establishing a rapport with Irish, she risked her life to save him and the Doctor. Now in corporeal form, she has taken the human name of Winnifred Stephanie O'Connell ("Fred" for short) for herself. '

ALLIES
Doc Savage - Born Clark Savage, Jr.. He was raised from the cradle by scientists. He was trained to be at the peak of physical and mental prowess. He is the smartest man in the world. He stands over 6 ft tall, with sun bronzed skin and hair ( his haircut is in the form of a skullcap). He moves gracefully and has the appearance of the prime human specimen. He and his aides fight crime and right wrongs from his base in the Empire State Building. Immensly wealthy, he puts his wealth to use in fighting crime and helping the innocent.

"Ham" - [Cody] - Brig. Gen. Theodore Marley Brooks. Perhaps the finest lawyer to graduate from Harvard, and certainly the best dressed. His nickname stems from an incident during WWI, when he was framed for stealing hams. He and Monk constantly heap verbal abuse on each other. They are also friends and would die for each other. Ham wields a sword cane, whose blade is tipped with a sticky paste. One cut will render most men unconcious for about an hour.

"Long Tom" - [Duncan] - Major Thomas J. Roberts. The top of his field in electronics. He is of average height, is very thin but has a wiry musculature. He can fight like a cornered wildcat

Pat Savage - [Jen] - Doc's first cousin. She is statuesqly beautiful, with the same bronze skin and hair coloring as her cousin. She loves adventure and comes along on Doc's missions whenever she can, though Doc constantly tries to discourage her. She runs a high class beauty salon to keep herself from getting bored.

OTHERS

Impiccione Frate - an inmate of the Folcraft Sanitarium, he is more familiarly known as the Meddling Monk.  He suffers from the same treatment that was used on the rescued Timelords from the Flying Monte Carlo.

Sage - [Jen] the Doctor's former companion Brogan MacGill, now excersing her increased abilities as a powerful temporal telepath. Her home is Mirabilis and the the temporal nexus that houses the Time Trap Bar, or rather used to.

BEGINNING

Arrival on the Ghost Ship (everyone)

Doc's aides having insisted on joining the trip, the whole group arrives on the "Ghost Ship", a roving HQ for the resistance against Gallifrey.  They are greeted by Sage.  She agrees to conduct a tour for Doc's aides, while the Doctor and his companions take Doc to visit his patients.  The group splits up and goes their separate ways and will meet up later in the observation lounge.

MIDDLE

The Tour (Sage, Doc's aides & Pat)

Sage takes the group on a tour of the "Ghost Ship".  She explains that all crew members are staying away from the tour, to avoid temporal contamination.  She gives the group an overview of the war that is being fought against Maxim and his totalitarian regime.

Med Lab (the Doctor, Fred, Irish, Doc Savage and Frate)

The group arrives in the Med Lab.  The Timelord patients are in stasis, awaiting a treatment that will restore their memories and personalities. The Doctor hooks Doc to a teaching computer.  With his massive intelligence, he will easily learn what he needs to of Timelord physiology in order to cure his new patients.

The Doctor, Fred and Irish watch in awe as Doc quickly learns and then puts his knowledge to use.  He forms a diagnosis, after reading the reports on all the patients, and operates on Frate first.

ENDING

In the Observation lounge (everyone but Sage and Frate)

A day or so later, everyone meets in the lounge.  (Doc's aides have been relaxing in the TARDIS while he does his medical work.)  Doc reports complete success.  All the patients are recovering nicely.  With a bit of rehab, they should be back to normal within a few weeks.  The news is received with jubilation.

Doc looks at his aides, then turns towards the Doctor.  They have done some talking and have reached a decision.  They wish to stay and help in the resistance movement.  Since the Doctor can return them to just after they left, there shouldn't be a problem.  The Doctor, knowing he cannot force them to go back, he very reluctantly agrees to talk to Sage about where they can be of the most help.
