The planet on Minyos 2 was threatened by an energy being called the Vorlox. Thanks to the effort of the new crew the day was saved, but in the battle a relative of Phineas is severely injured and taken to a regeneration machine. The crew uses the TARDIS to travel to Phineas's lab, however when the TARDIS demats it races out of control.
The 11th Doctor - [Cody] tall, 6 foot man in his late 50's with gray curls, a wizened face, and sparkling blue eyes. He closely resembles his 4th
incarnation after being aged a bit by time and turmoil.
Ravena Shaw - [Jen] Virginian colonist, granddaughter of a local farmer now deceased. She is unmarried, a woman of 23 thus a spinster (by choice). She
lives on her family farm with her sister-in-law and nephew. Her brother (who owns the farm) is off fighting in Washington's army. Like the women in her
family, she practices the old traditions of home remedies and Irish white witchcraft.
Phineas - (Duncan) - 45, a gray haired (used to be red) scientist who has never undergone regeneration.
His blue eyes sees things many of his colleagues don't, so he is considered paranoid. A view that isn't hurt
by the fact that both his assistants are cousins of his and he can't stand visitors to his lab.
TARDIS passengers of the past - Anyone (or thing) that has ever been inside the TARDIS. Only restraint they can not see any of the present crew unless they are Jamie or Zoe (who were mind wiped) or are about to die (Katerina, Sara, Adric, etc).
The Doctor takes a sip of the tea Phineas brings him and immediately falls asleep. Phineas sets aside the sandwich he had gotten, still in it's plastic wrapper but as soon as it is placed on the table it disintegrates into powder. Ravena and Phineas check and ALL the emergency supplies have deteriorated as if they had been placed there centuries ago. They try vainly to search for some sort of food or drink. Only when they can wait no longer, they attempt to awaken the Doctor.
Still somewhat befuddled, he confuses not only what they say but who they are. Finally they get through to him that they have not had food or drink for quite a while almost two days for Ravena. The Doctor asks them to help him to the console, feebly he punches at the keyboard. He tells them to try the hallway again and once again swoons. They help the Doctor back to the settee.
Ravena tries to soothe the Doctor as Phineas checks the inner door. He returns and says that the hallway now stretches almost out of sight. The Doctor moans they should tie off his scarf and unravel the yarn so they can find their way back before again passing out. Ravena and Phineas debate what to do as there is no scarf to be found. Phineas finally stops searching and tells Ravena that the Doctor must once again be thinking of a previous incarnation. Reluctantly they decide to try exploring for food.
Phineas and Ravena once again try the hallway, this time there are several
doors along both sides. They explore with varied results.
(Basically a free ticket to have fun :-))
The Doctor drifts in and out of consciousness, seeing different console rooms and many old friends and enemies unable to discern if they are dreams or visions.
Rechecking a room that had looked like a large ballroom the first time, Ravena and Phineas instead find a very ulitarian staircase. They see several Sontaran warriors coming down the steps. Alarmed at first they realize that apparently the Sontarans can not see or hear them, then as they continue down the steps they disappear from Ravena and Phineas's view. They cross the landing and enter a room that is all white and covered in roundels with a console in the middle. Phineas speculates that the rooms are having delusions just like the Doctor but apparently they are only visions and can not see or interact with them.
The Doctor finally awakens feeling more like himself, unfortunately it is still the same erratic and confused self he has been since his last regeneration.
When he notices the cup of tea Phineas had given him, he remembers his crew and something about restoring rooms. He finally goes out looking for Ravena and Phineas.
In one room Ravena sees Phineas freeze, he then moves, pulling her to a hiding place, his face is as pale as a fever victim that has been bleed for too many days. Ravena peeps around the boxes they are using for cover, all she sees are some harmless looking automatons. Phineas pulls her close and tells her they are Daleks. He tells her of the abominations and atrocities of the Daleks. She reminds him that they are only images and stands when the door behind her opens.
Phineas also turns and they see that the Doctor has found them, he is embarrassed that he hid from mere visions and stands and calls out a friendly greeting to the Doctor.
At the noise one of the Daleks turns and begins to shriek "HU-MANS! EX-TER-MI-NATE! EX-TER-MI-NATE!" It fires, destroying one of the boxes. Ravena lets out a scream worthy of Victoria as the end theme music swells.
It appears that not all of the visions in the TARDIS are harmless. What will our crew do? Tune in next week, same time, same channel for part two of "Lost in Time, Lost in Space" !!
